Mike Wilson homered twice and knocked in four runs to lead West Tenn past Carolina for the third straight game 5-1 at Five County Stadium before 5,402 fans on Friday night.

Wilson homered against Willie Glen (L, 3-1) in the third inning, then took out Todd Doolittle in the ninth. A fifth inning single by Wilson scored Mike Saunders against reliever Jeff Gogal.

Carolina (17-12) lost for the seventh time in eight games, and managed its only run in the fourth on a single by Manuel Mayorson to bring Brett Hayes home.

Glen was knocked out in the fourth inning when Luis Valbuena socked a liner against Glen's pitching hand. Glen picked the ball up and threw to second base for a force out, but Chris Coghlan's relay throw went into the Diamond Jaxx (19-10) dugout to score a run. Glen then departed the game.

Cameron Maybin and Andy Jenkins had two hits apiece for the Mudcats, who wrap up their five-game homestand on Saturday night with Brett Sinkbeil (1-1, 3.14) starting against West Tenn's Ryan Ketchner (1-0, 5.85) at 6:15 PM ET.
