Freshman J.J. Hickson has not made a final decision on whether to enter the NBA Draft,
Lowe, reached at the charity golf tournament held by Torry and Terrence Holt, said Hickson remains enrolled in school and State is preparing as if he will return.
However, Hickson could be a first-round selection if he decides to turn pro.
“If a kid has a chance to go high or what he considers high, we have to support that,” Lowe said. “That’s what you tell these kids when you are recruiting them and you can’t turn your back on them when they make that decision.”
Lowe also said he would continue to recruit potential “one-and-done” players.
“You can’t be afraid to recruit them because if you don’t recruit them, then you aren’t going to win,” he said.
