San Antonio — It’s a busy day on Radio Row in San Antonio at the Hyatt Regency, with The Fan on the air live from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

First up on the show with The Insiders – Kansas State freshman Michael Beasley.

Beasley, of course, knows all about the Kansas Jayhawks, who face North Carolina in the national semifinals on Saturday.

Asked who he likes, Beasley said, “Honestly I don’t think the Jayhawks can pull this one out. North Carolina has so many weapons. You can’t double-team Tyler [Hansbrough]. You can’t double-team anybody.”

Beasley made an interesting point, too, about K-State’s arch rival.

“When they went on their 20-game winning streak, a lot of people were scared of them because the were big, bad Kansas,” Beasley said. “They’re going to punch.

“But if you punch back, they are pretty easy to beat.”

But Beasley did praise Kansas’ defense, saying, “They play together. “Its never one-on-one defense.”

Beasley, by the way, was asked how he felt about UNC’s Hansbrough sweeping the national player of the year awards.

“If the people feel he’s better than me or he does this better than me, I’m not going to go against it,” he said.

Interestingly enough, Beasley said he hasn't made a final decision on whether he will turn pro. Of course, Beasley is widely expected to turn pro - and be the top pick.

DANCING DANNY: UNC junior Danny Green had a humorous comment when speaking to the media at the official NCAA news conference Friday.

Asked about his dancing to the song “Jump” before games, Green said, “I started out of my freshman year doing it and it became something. I don’t know how. … I guess because we’re the No. 1 team in the nation.

“It’s fun to watch sometimes. But I think I look like an idiot some times when I watch myself on TV. I’m like wow, I can’t believe I do that.”
