North Carolina, looking to bolster its football recruiting class with signing day approaching in February, has picked up a pair of defensive prospects, InsideCarolina.com is reporting.
The Heels have added commitments from linebacker Zach Brown of Hargrave Military Academy in Chatham, Va., and from cornerback Alphonzo Dennard of Wilcox County, Ga., High.
Brown, 6 feet 1 and 212 pounds, is rated a four-star recruit by Scout.com. Dennard, 5-10 and 184, is rated a three-star recruit.
Carolina has 10 commitments now, five on offense and five on defense. Schools generally sign around 20 players, but many of the top commitments announce late in the process.
