North Carolina continued to mine the high school ranks for top talent on Thursday when junior basketball player John Henson of Round Rock, Texas, committed to the Tar Heels.

Henson, who is 6 feet 10 and 200 pounds, is the first junior to commit to UNC.

Carolina has three high school seniors arriving in the fall. They are 6-11 Tyler Zeller  of  Washington, Ind.; 6-8 Ed Davis of Richmond, Va.; and 6-0 Larry Drew of Woodland Hills, Calif.

Also committed is 6-3 high school sophomore Kendall Marshall of Arlington, Va.

Guard Quentin Thomas is the only recruited senior on UNC's roster now, but the Tar Heels could lose several players to the NBA Draft.
