Football 2008: South Johnston

South Johnston vs. Triton The South Johnston Trojans had an excellent season in 2007, going undefeated in the Cape Fear Valley Conference, and posting a 10-2 overall record. The Trojans' offense should be in great shape in 2008, returning eight of their starters. The key for the Trojans will be their defense. South Johnston lost most of their starters on defense after the 2007 season, but Coach Joe Salas is confident that they will develop this season. The 2007 junior varsity team posted a healthy 6-3 record in 2007, and the Trojans will work on building on that mark at the varsity level.
