Football: The Rules
Jim Pacheco is taking a leave from officiating football in the NCHSAA, and while he's on that leave, Jim is helping WRAL.com break down one rule a week that is commonly misunderstood in high school football.

About Jim Pacheco:
Jim has been an official for 29 years, and in that time, he has officiated baseball, basketball, and football. From 1989 to 2001, Jim was a PAC-10 official. He also officiated California High School championships in all three sports. In 1995, Jim worked the National League during the Major League lockout, and he also worked the NCAA Division III World Series that year. From 1996 to 2001, Jim was an official at the NCAA Division I Regionals.
This year, Jim is taking a leave from officiating in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association while his son plays high school football at Wakefield High School. While taking his leave, Jim will help WRAL.com explain one commonly misunderstood rule each week.
