Say what?

One of my favorite movie lines of all time goes like this: "You can take that to mean whatever you like, it probably does..."  I heard that one years ago, and it may say something that I no longer remember the film from which it came.

But... it's an appropriate sentiment for this little nugget of info I stumbled across this afternoon:

Today, the eve of another NC State-East Carolina football game, just happens to be International Talk Like a Pirate Day.

Yep, and I'm not making it up, either. Here's a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Talk_Like_a_Pirate_Day

OK, so it's not exactly the Fourth of July but it's pretty funny.

So if someone walks up to you and says "Aaar," "Avast ye mateys," "Shiver me timbers," or suggests you walk the plank, they may not be completely out of their mind!

I'm sure this "holiday" will be observed in Greenville, but I wonder about West Raleigh?

(My thanks to New York Yankees beat writer Peter Abraham for digging up this nugget in his very informative Yankees blog at yankees.lhblogs.com.)
