End of Game 63-49:   Hokies make huge run to end game.  This team is for real.  I expect their confidence to continue.

2:00 VT leads 59-44:  It's only a matter of time.  Miami has nothing left.  Would need a birage of three's and an absolute melt- down from the free throw line by VT.

4:10 VT leads 58-44:  Miami is struggling to gain composure.  VT not letting up on a 12-2 run.  Washington hits huge three.

7:43 VT leads 46-42:  VT makes a solid run due to raining three from Delaney.  McClinton for Miami starting to struggle with shot.  Miami takes quick TO.

9:52 Miami leads 42-41:  Back and forth game allows Miami to take lead off of Collins power move down low.

12:20 VT leads 38-36:  Both teams getting up and down the floor.  McClinton for Miami starting to get into some scoring getting 6 secon half points to give him 12.  VT's Allen getting more touches and taking advantage with 6 second half points.  Refs are not calling the "flop".  Very few charges called.  This equates to a Duke loss in the next matchup.

Halftime VT leads 27-23:  VT needs for Deron Washington to come out in second half and take control.  Big man Jeff Allen needs to get into the scoring down low for two reasons 1- to wear down Miami's big guys on the offensive end. 2- opens up for more perimeter shots from Vasallo.  Miami needs McClinton and Dews to get hot quick.  Expect some big numbers from McClinton to finish out game.

1:12: Va. Tech leads 25 -23:  Guards getting it done.  Vassallo and Delaney combine for 19.  Cannot get ball into bigs.

Game tied at 21:  With Deron Washington on the bench with two fouls and two points, Vassallo (9) and Delaney (8) lead the VT bench in hard-fought game.

9:04, VT leads 21-13:  A.D. Vassallo  for Va. Tech shooting the ball well early.  Miami has early matchup problem with him.  He has 9.  Crowd full of Carolina, Clemson, and Duke fans.  Apparently they are waiting for a football game to  break out.  Can't say I blame or disagree with them.

15:00 VT leads 12-9:  McClinton told me after his last game (in which he scored very little against NCSU) he would be putting more points on the board.  He has 6 points already.

15:23  VT leads 10-5:  Both teams trying to get ball inside.  Refs letting them play.

Start Of game:  Miami Comes out in all black uniforms.  VT in their home whites.  Crowd very sedate.  Probably due to the realization that these actually aren't Big East teams.
