Live Blog: Clemson gets BC

9:43p.m. The Terps and Eagles are underway and here's hoping we finally see a close finish.  So far 0 for 3

9:45 p.m. Terps off to a quick start 13-5 start behind 5 from Eric Hayes. Timeout Al Skinner.

9:48 p.m. A strong crowd still here for the late game, however many are still wearing their UVa orange.

9:53 p.m. It is already 20-5 Terps with a strong start from Senior James Gist.  Doesn't look good for the hopes of a close game .

 10 p.m. A slow start for All-ACC performer Tyrese Rice just 1-4 with 2pts.

10:06 p.m.  Bambale Osby has the best hair at the tournament so far.

10:14 p.m.  Now things are getting interesting as the Eagles cut it to 24-18.

10:17 p.m.  Boston College shooting just 30 percent from the floor but not totally out of the game down by just 7...

10:46 p.m. Back from the halftime show on 99.9 FM the Fan..looking at the halftime numbers shocking that was down by just 6 at half while shooting an ice cold 30%.

10:48 p.m. Other stats that jump out at me are the guard stats.  Both Vasquez and Rice with quite games so far.  Vasquez three points and Rice just six points.

10:56 p.m. Sorry MD fans I shouldn't have opened my mouth or blog about Rice's offense, he's scored 5 pts in a row and cut the MD lead to just one at 39-38.

11 p.m.  Wow. BC gets the lead for the first time since the first minute of the game.

11:03 p.m.  Former Maryland Coach Lefty Driesell is here watching his old school and his son Chuck who is an assistant with Gary Williams.  Driesell will be honored this weekend as part of the ACC legends series.  Dean Smith will be honored too.

11:10 p.m. James Gist just went out and the trainers are checking his leg on the bench.

11:14 p.m. James Gist is now back with BC up 52-50.

11:20 p.m. Clemson fans are cheering on BC who has now opened up a 58-50 lead with 4:45 left.

11:30 p.m. BC up 62-57 after Terps miss two open jumpers.  1:28 left

11:38 p.m.: BC lead shrinks to 3 after Hayes jumper with 5 seconds left.  Can MD pull of miracle??

11:40 p.m.  Boston College advances 71-68 over Maryland.  They face Clemson, Terps wrap up a frustrating season and now get ready for NIT.  Tyrese Rice with a big second half with 17 points and showing why he's first team All-ACC.  Goodnight!
