Hansbrough Hot, but Some Pack Highlights

7:40 p.m.: Knew I shouldn't have written Hansbrough hadn't done much. Right after that, he scored in transition  on a dunk, nearly stole a Wolfpack pass while stumbling out of bounds and into Roy Williams, and scored over Ben McCauley inside.

But State has had some highlights of its own to hold of Hansbrough. Gavin Grant hit a three-pointer, Javi Gonzalez hit a three, Brandon Costner stepped in front of a UNC inbounds pass for a steal and raced for a dunk and then Gonzalez hit another three.

And oh, in one of the most beautiful plays you'll see, Grant lofted a high alley-oop to Courtney Fells, who reached up with one arm and slammed it down for a jam.

Right now, it's State 31-28 and this crowd is loud - and confident.

Grant and Hansbrough, by the way, each have 12 points in this contest.

Well State refreshingly looks like a much more developed, confident team. That's fine; it will just make it that much more sweet to beat them. :) (Sure hope I don't eat those words!)

I sure wish the Heels would play some traditional defense in addition to trying to go for the steal all the time. Still love Hansbrough though. There's not a more worthwhile player to watch in college basketball.
