Game is only half an hour away, but pretty quiet here before the North Carolina at N.C. State game.

N.C.State is on the floor going through stretching, and Carolina is in its dressing room. Only about a thousand people are milling around in the RBC Center.

The funniest State fans so far - and there are always great ones for this - are in the end zone with their bare torsos painted red and their faces red and white. They look like they can't wait for this one to crank up.

Pretty interesting how quickly the mood here is going to change.

Oops, here comes Carolina. Pretty light boos - not enough people here yet to do a whole lot! ...

OK, a couple of notes. Carolina leads this series 137-75 all-time. And while Everett Case and Norm Sloan - and Sidney Lowe - would hate to hear this, UNC actually leads in games played in Raleigh, 56-44.

That being said, State is obviously a different team at home. The Wolfpack is 10-3 here this year and, of course, beat Carolina last season in Raleigh.

State fans starting to howl at UNC. ....Given how mkodest it is in here, you can hear what people scream. One just hurled "LOSER" at UNC.

By the way, can't wait to hear Roy Williams talk about the injury report after the game. I'd make that the first question, but he might sling a Coke at me.
