Greetings From Tampa

Hello and greetings from sunny Tampa. Anytime you can see palm trees and boats in March it's a good thing. We're here to cover the ACC basketball tournament but there will be some competition on the sports front. Of course there are spring training baseball games galore down here and this week the PGA tour is in town for the PODS championship. I checked and there is no T. Woods on the entry list.

Unlike when the ACC tournament is in Greensboro or Charlotte, there won't be a lot of "hey let's hop in the car and maybe we can score some tickets"...If your team makes it to the semi's or finals you're more than likely already here. I'm interested to see the fan flow as the tournament whittles down to the weekend. I must say though, the St. Pete Times Forum looks good and ready for hoops. They are setting up an outdoor fanfest just outside the arena. Tomorrow is practice day for the teams that choose to do so here in Tampa. NC State and Wake Forest are the only teams from North Carolina who will shoot hoops here. But that's practice man...practice...not the games....we're talking about practice!

Now for the basketball games. Here's a look at the match-ups and how the teams fared against each other during the regular season. Enjoy the games!!!

Jeffy (borrowed that from Tom) you are a lucky duck. Getting to be in gorgeous Tampa and witnessing the ACC Tourney. Have fun and cheer for my Wolfpack.. even if you do it in secret! ;)

GO WOLFPACK!!!

I don't often agree with pack fans, but yes, Greensboro every year. Not only do we have 33% of the ACC in North Carolina but its pretty close to being the geographic center of the ACC. We sold our soul for football money, don't ruin what little we have left by shipping the Granddaddy of them all to Florida.

Tampa? Yes, Tampa. A city with a very rich ACC history. PUL-EEZE! Greensboro...EVERY YEAR!

Why isn't the first UVA vs. State score mentioned? They played twice yet only the score from the game in Raleigh is listed? UVA had the easiest schedule of all twelve teams which might have been a factor in their conference record.
