WRAL High School Hoops

There's a New Number One in the Tri-8

Middle Creek defeated Apex on Friday Night, 58-46 at Green Hope High School in Cary. The game was highly anticipated and very exciting.

WRAL High School Hoops was there, live, all night recording a play-by-play broadcast. You can listen to the broadcast now by clicking the link to the right side of this page. You will also find a link to our gameday preview.

I'd like to personally thank T.C. Anderson for his analysis before, during and after the game; Jen Hankin for her sideline reporting; Summer Yancey for her assistance during the game; and Brandon Dixon for keeping stats for us. We will have pre-game interviews posted with the Defensive Player of the Year, Andrew Duke (Green Hope), as well as Middle Creek Point Guard Kip Kelley on Saturday.

WRAL High School Hoops would also like to thank Mickey Bissette, Athletic Director at Green Hope High School for his assistance in setting up the broadcasting rights through the NCHSAA.

Congratulations to the Middle Creek Mustangs, the 2007 Tri-8 Conference Champions. Stay with WRAL.com all tournament long for the best coverage of high school basketball.

Nick, Looks like you are wrong again. There is interest in Girl's Basketball. You and WRAL may not be interested, but it is obvious that your readers are!!!!!

Where are the girls sports? Why is there a football friday, and men's sports updates, but nothing about the Tri-Eight conference winner for women? or maybe now the sectional winner? I am very disappointed that women's high school sports receive no coverage by WRAL or any other station...men's football warrants a spot every Friday night on WRAL, girls cannot even get an honorable mention.
