Tri-8 Championship Set, WRAL Ready
The two schools have met three times this season, Apex came away victorious in two of them. Each time they meet it's a fierce battle, not only on the court, but also in the stands. The two student sections are two of the rowdiest in the area, and you can bet they will only add to the intensity tonight.
The point guard match-up will be one of the most intriguing match ups of the night. Kip Kelley will be the floor general for the Mustangs, and as a Junior, some believe he may not be able to handle the pressure of the championship atmosphere. Apex will have senior Forrest Moog at the point, Moog has the experience advantage over Kelley.
This will be the first championship game that Middle Creek has been in, but Apex will be looking for the three-peat after winning the Tri-8 Regular Season title.
If you want to listen to our broadcast of the Championship game, check back here tonight around 11:30 PM. The broadcast will be complete with play-by-play, player analysis, a pregame and postgame show, halftime show, the trophy presentation, and more.
