I'm a bit tardy with this one, but as David Lee Roth once said: "I don't
feel tardy."
Anyone that had (and used) a ticket to Wednesday night's UNC-Georgia Tech
game should consider themselves fortunate. They saw a truly amazing
performance by Tyler Hansbrough. A 40-point performance.
Let's run down a few of the records set by Young Tyler in this game: Most
ever at Smith Center, Most ever by a UNC freshman, Most ever by an ACC
freshman... Does anyone remember Skip Wise? His was the OLD freshman scoring
record -- 38 -- set back in 1974, more than a decade before Hansbrough was
even born.
And speaking of the name Hansbrough... How many times have we heard
out-of-area announcers call him Hans-BORO (as in Greensboro or Goldsboro)?
Once and for all, it's Hans-BRO -- like Kramer's ill-fated clothing line on
Seinfeld.
Any way you pronounce it, the guy's an amazing freshman.
