Kevin White has his hands full in just his second week as the Director of Athletics at Duke University.

While Dr. White inherits one of the best men's basketball programs in the NCAA, there are 25 other sports at Duke, like football, that require a great deal of attention.

As White told 99.9 FM The Fan on Thursday, facilities upgrades will certainly be explored for Wallace Wade Stadium. And maybe, just maybe, the hallowed Cameron Indoor Stadium will get a face lift as well.

“We're going to take a real hard look at all of that,” said White. “We know we've got a lot of facility work to do, particularly in Wallace Wade, and we'll figure out how to do it. But, I think with David (Cutcliffe) and the staff, and the renewed commitment to Duke football, that gives us a pretty strong chance.”

When asked about possible improvements to Cameron, White was very careful not to promise change, but didn't rule it out either.

“It is a cathedral for college basketball,” says White. “It is the cathedral, I think. There's no question about that. I would want to make darn sure we didn't do anything to dis-enhance the mystique of the place and the lore. But, at the same time, if there are some opportunities, I'm sure we'll take a good, hard look at those as well.”

As for a time-table for any changes? White has more important discoveries to make first.

“I've been in this job, like, eight days now, eight work days,” White joked. “I barely know where the restrooms are.”

White also commented on his reasons for leaving Notre Dame, praised his predecessor Joe Alleva, and touched on a BCS playoff system.
