Speeding car lands two Littleton men in jail on drug charges

A Halifax County sheriff's detective said he arrested two Littleton men Friday after noticing their car speeding and crossing the center line into oncoming traffic.

LITTLETON, N.C. — A Halifax County sheriff's detective said he arrested two Littleton men Friday after noticing their car speeding and crossing the center line into oncoming traffic.

Detective Rich Somogyi arrested Jawaine Pulley, 22, and Keiston Boyd, 21, after stopping their car and finding 6.5 ounces of marijuana inside the vehicle, he said.

Pulley and Boyd were each charged with felony possession of marijuana and possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana. They were being held in the Halifax County jail under $2,500 bonds and were scheduled to appear in court on July 25.
