— Speeding contributed to a tractor-trailer wreck that tied up traffic Friday morning on the ramp from U.S. 264 to Interstate 440 East toward Poole Road, Raleigh police found.

The report on the wreck concludes that driver David Tyler Horning, 39, of Chesapeake, Va., tried to take the turn of the ramp too fast and collided with the concrete guardrail. The truck flipped over, dumping a load of plywood.

No one was injured, but the ramp was closed for several hours.

Horning was charged cited for going 60 mph in a 55 mph zone.

Could WRAL please follow up with the outcome of this story? Especially the towing service....No chocks on the trailer wheels, no out riggers on the front tow truck, cable rigging. Just wondering......

There have been a lot of Truck wrecks lately. If this truck was going over 55 on that ramp, I can totally understand why he overturned.

If traffic would just chill out a little bit these trucks wouldn't be rolling over. Every morining I'm driving along between 70 and 75 (in a 70 zone) passing a lot of people, then I hit the 55 limit before this ramp and slow to 65 and people get antsy. Once I'm down to 60 they start whipping around me.
