Southwest flight diverted to RDU for smoke in cockpit

A Southwest Airlines flight from Baltimore was diverted to Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Wednesday afternoon after crew members reported smoke in the cockpit, RDU spokeswoman Mindy Hamlin said.

MORRISVILLE, N.C. — A Southwest Airlines flight from Baltimore was diverted to Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Wednesday afternoon after crew members reported smoke in the cockpit, RDU spokeswoman Mindy Hamlin said.

Flight 2771 was headed to Jackson, Miss.

Hamlin said no one was injured and the plane landed without incident. She did not confirm if there was any smoke found in the cockpit.
