CARTHAGE, N.C. — Moore County sheriff's deputies arrested a Southern Pines man Tuesday on charges he robbed and burned a Linden Road home in September.

Robert Antwon Smith, 24, was charged with second-degree burglary, second-degree arson, felony larceny and felony possession of stolen property.
Deputies believe he started the fire Sept. 12 in which the home of Kyle Hemlock, 20, and Ryan Thompson, 29, was destroyed.

After the flames were out, Hemlock and Thompson reported some of their things missing. Neither was home at the time of the fire.

Smith was held in the Moore County Jail on a $75,000 secured bond.
