Southern Pines man arrested, charged with 2013 murder

— A 27-year-old Southern Pines man was arrested and charged Wednesday with killing a man on South Hardin Street in June 2013, police said.

Marshall Tristan Shaw is accused of killing Floyd Elmer Williams, 27, who was found lying in the street in front of Simon Funeral Home on June 29, 2013. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shaw, who was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, remained in the Moore County jail Wednesday under no bond. His next scheduled court date is July 22.

    Um no the opposite is true. I guess you want to do away with prescription drugs too? 36k people a year die in the US to drug overdose on prescription drugs. You want to do away with them? How bout cars? 40k die every year. You want to punish the responsible for what the irresponsible do?

    And some think passing another law will increase the odds of this person obeying those already on the books, This person is not allowed to carry or own guns by law so he could be sentence on just the gun charges alone.

    Convicted felon.....with a gun.....probably stolen.....yet the Libs in this country want to take my legally purchased firearm from me and allow criminals like this to shoot me and my family......good luck.
