<b>ALLISON HORN</b> — South Bay students are mourning a teacher who was stabbed to death at a Clairemont home Monday.

Police said 30-year-old Joseph Burks called 911 to report an assault with a knife. When officers arrived, they found Burks' mother, 58-year-old Angela Burks, suffering from stab wounds.

Burks worked as a teacher at Otay Ranch High School, a school district spokesperson told 10News.
