Soundgarden, Def Leppard headline Carolina Rebellion

CONCORD, N.C. — Soundgarden and Def Leppard will headline this year's Carolina Rebellion music festival.

The annual celebration of metal and hard rock is May 5-7 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord. More than 90,000 fans attended last year.

Grunge pioneers Soundgarden headline the first day. Other performers include A Perfect Circle, Mastodon, Pierce the Veil, Opeth, Eagles of Death Metal, the Dillinger Escape Plan, Amon Amarth, Highly Suspect, Of Mice and Men, Gojira, Every Time I Die, Starset and Radkey.

Classic rock fans are in for a treat on day two with headliners including British powerhouse Def Leppard and 1980s heroes Tesla and Rebellion veterans Korn, Chevelle, The Pretty Reckless, In Flames, In This Moment and Nothing More. Alter Bridge, Sum 41, Machine Gun Kelly, The Amity Affliction, All That Remains and Rival Son are also on the bill.

New-age metal artists Avenged Sevenfold, The Offspring, Volbeat, Papa Roach, Seether, Three Days Grace, Skillet, Coheed and Cambria, Taking Back Sunday, Falling In Reverse, Motionless in White, Beartooth, Fozzy, Kyng and Sylar are set to perform on the final day.

In addition to the four stages of music, there will be camping grounds and a barbecue village.

Weekend general admission tickets are $199. Two-day and single day general admission tickets are also available.
