SOUTH ST. LOUIS — The Sweet Divine will re-open Thursday nine months after a fire gutted the shop.

A fire damaged the Soulard bakery in October. The owners were able to operate out of their food truck and at another bakery while they rebuilt.

The owners said they were able to stay in business because of community support.

"Community support during this whole process has been great. They've been ordering from the truck, ordering online, but the closer we got to Soulard, neighbors started coming by. You could count the noise prints on the windows looking in," said owner Jason Siebert.

The bakery was once featured on the Food Network.

The new shop will have extended hours, more seating and a few new menu items.
