Some Raleigh parks busy on Tuesday for voting

If you're planing to head to a playground on Tuesday, it might be wise to steer clear of these just for the day. Or, if you are scheduled to attend a program, it may be a good idea to go early to make sure you get a parking space.

A heads up from Raleigh parks: Some parks that also serve as polling places will likely be very busy on Tuesday, Election Day.

If you're planing to head to a playground on Tuesday, it might be wise to steer clear of these just for the day. Or, if you are scheduled to attend a program, it may be a good idea to go early to make sure you get a parking space.

Here are the parks that serve as polling places:

Glen Eden Pilot Park Community Center
Eastgate Park Community Center
Roberts Park Community Center
Chavis Community Center
Method Community Center
Powell Drive Community Center
Tarboro Road Community Center
Optimist Park Community Center
Worthdale Community Center
Millbrook Exchange Park Community Center
Green Road Park Community Center
Shelley Lake, Sertoma Park

Barwell Road Community Center

Check our parks and playgrounds database for other places to play in the region. My guess is that other parks in the Triangle, outside of Raleigh, also are serving as polling places too ... so just be prepared!
