Smithfield police have arrested Greg Haldain Johnson, 26, who is accused of shooting a man at 1103 Massey St., around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. 

<b>SMITHFIELD, N.C.</b> — Smithfield police have arrested Greg Haldain Johnson, 26, who is accused of shooting a man at 1103 Massey St., around 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Charles Burns, 28, of Four Oaks, was in stable condition at WakeMed. Police say the two men know each other.

Johnson is charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill, according to police. He was being held in the Johnston County Jail.
