— A hit-and-run involving two vehicles Monday night in Smithfield sent three people to Wake Med with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Smithfield police department. Police have no suspects at this time.

Marcus Garner, 27, Johnny Campbell, 16, and Kenneth Parnell Jr., 33, were traveling on the 100 block of Futrell Way when a white Ford Taurus crossed over the center line and hit their vehicle, sending it off the road and into a tree.

No other information was available.

Outhousecat - Most Johnston County people request to be taken anywhere but Johnston Memorial. When my Mom had a stroke, she could barely get out the words "Don't let them take me to Johnston Memorial", but she insisted.

It's pretty telling that the ambulance had to drive practically in front of Johnston Memorial and the new Clayton hospital to take the victims with non-life threatening injuries to Wake Med.
