RALEIGH, N.C. — Get ready to slip and slide downtown Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. Registration for Slide the City begins online at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

More than 1,000 feet of padded vinyl will be placed on Glenwood Avenue to help turn the area into a giant slip and slide.

The event is May 30. All sliders must use an inflatable tube.

Prices depend on how many times you want to slide. Single sliders pay $15 in advance, while Triple Sliders pay $30 and get a tube to use. The VIP Slider ($50 in advance) will have unlimited sliding throughout the day and can get in an hour early and stay an hour after the event closes to the general public.

Use code "SlideRaleigh" to save 10 percent on all purchases.

All sliders must bring a signed waiver to the event. You must be at least 5 years old and more than 46 inches tall to slide.
