Slide Fest not happening this weekend
The event has been canceled for the weekend because of permitting issues and other restrictions.

Slide Fest, a giant water slide slated for WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary this Sunday, is not going to happen.
Here's what the website says: "Due to last minute permit hurdles and restrictions placed on both Slide Fest and WakeMed Soccer Park, we have had to cancel/postpone the event for this weekend. We do apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused and we look forward to planning an even bigger and better event in the future."
Slide Fest's website has details on how to get refunds if you already bought your tickets.
