Sketch Released in Chapel Hill Assault

Police on Thursday released a composite sketch of a man wanted in connection with a February sexual assault.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Police on Thursday released a composite sketch of a man wanted in connection with a February sexual assault.

A woman was attacked on Umstead Drive near Bradley Road at about 10:15 a.m. on Feb. 19, police said. The woman, who is in her 50s, told police she was grabbed from behind and wrestled into a wooded area, where a man assaulted her and took her purse before fleeing on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, 18 to 20 years old, about 6 feet tall with a slender build. He has short hair and no facial hair.
