SK8-Cary closed after utility line break

Posted January 9, 2014

For the skaters and BMXers out there:

SK8-Cary Park, the popular skateboard and BMX park in Cary, will be closed through Jan. 12 as crews work to repair a broken utility line caused by record low temperatures, according to the town of Cary.

Godbold Park, which the skate park is part of, remains open except for the bathrooms and water fountains at the dog park, which also will be closed through Jan. 12. Temporary facilities will be located near the restrooms. The town encourages you to bring your own water for your dog.

Some other public options for skateboarders:

Marsh Creek Park, a Raleigh city park, has a skate park

Chapel Hill Skate Park at Homestead Park
