Six shot in Goldsboro apartment

Six people were wounded in a shooting at a Goldsboro apartment early Saturday morning, police said.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Six people were wounded in a shooting at a Goldsboro apartment early Saturday morning, police said. 

Police said Raimonte Walls, 21, was throwing a party at his apartment, at 404-C N. George St., around 12:30 a.m. when shots were fired into the home, striking Walls; James Crawford Jr., 16, Covia Williams, 19, Teianna Howell, 16, Demetrius Raiford, 21, and a 15-year-old boy whose name was not released.

They were all taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital, authorities said. Crawford and the juvenile were airlifted to Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

The other four victims' injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening, authorities said.

The investigation is ongoing.
