Six dogs die in Fayetteville house fire

Fayetteville, N.C. — Six dogs died Thursday night in a house fire in Fayetteville, authorities said.
Firefighters responded to 908 E. Russell St. shortly before 7:15 p.m., where they found a single-story home engulfed in heavy fire and smoke.
Two people were rescued from the fire, and three people were displaced, authorities said. They were not injured.
The house appeared to be a total loss, and the cause of the fire is under investigation, authorities said.
