Six arrested in counterfeit raid at Rocky Mount flea market
A task force comprised of state and local authorities arrested six vendors Friday at the Stockyard Flea Market in Rocky Mount on charges they were selling counterfeit goods.

Five of the six – Youssouph Mane, 58, Andre Kenan, 38, Abass Jallow, 24, Pa Gibbe Njie, 23, and Mor Cisse, 57, – were from Raleigh. The sixth was Wanamonca Deverne Gaynor, 38, of Greenville.
All six were charged with criminal use of a counterfeit trademark. Kenan, Gaynor, Jallow and Njie were also charged with one count each of unauthorized use and possession of sound recordings. Jallow and Njie were charged with one count each of unauthorized use and possession of video recordings.
“The same criminal pipelines that bring in fake designer handbags and clothes can then also bring in knock-off electrical extension cords that are deadly fire hazards in your home, not to mention illegal drugs, weapons and even human trafficking," said Secretary of State Elaine F. Marshall in a statement.
Authorities seized merchandise with an estimated retail value of more than $700,000 from the vendors.
