The Oak City Bard Brawl gives the area's best storytellers five minutes to showcase their best work. The audience will determine – with cheers or boos – which six bards will advance to the final round.
All stories must be the bards' unique creations and relate to Raleigh in some way. No notes or props are allowed, although storytellers can keep their drinks in hand.
If you think you have what it takes to be the "Bard of Oak City," registration is available online.
Doors open at 6 p.m. this Wednesday at Kings Barcade for the Brawl. Tickets are only $5 and available at the door.
