Single-car wreck closes road north of Zebulon

Posted February 17, 2012

— A 30-year-old man was injured early Friday in a single-car wreck that involved alcohol on Pearces Road north of Zebulon, officials with the State Highway Patrol said.

Authorities said Charles Yarbrough Jr. lost control of his 1998 Ford Escort while traveling north on Pearces Road around 3 a.m. He ran off the road and into a ditch before hitting a power pole.

Yarbrough was taken to WakeMed Hospital with minor injuries. He was charged with DWI and reckless driving, authorities said.

The road was expected to stay closed for much of the morning Friday while Progress Energy crews work to fix the power pole.

No other information was released.

I see he turned himself into a hospital patient. But this article does not state where the police made the arrest. More then likely the hospital. Glad nobody else was injured

You don't seriously expect the police to be around to catch everyone who makes a bad decision, do you? Instead of bashing the police for what they didn't do, you should be thankful that there are individuals willing to put their life on the line to do what they do.

Our police can't catch them but another bad driver has turned himself in.

We cant thank our police for catching this bad driver but we can thank this bad driver for the power disruption and road blockage.
