In the spirit of the season, I checked in with Raleigh mom and amazingly talented singer/songwriter Rissi Palmer to share a little Christmas music this week.

I featured Palmer last year as part of our Made by Mom Gift Guide. Read that post for much more about Palmer, whose first two country albums were major label releases. Last year, she was getting ready to release her first children's album "Best Day Ever." Now she's getting ready to record another album - for adults, this time.

She's also launching an acoustic tour. It includes stops at Sola Coffee Cafe, 7705 Lead Mine Rd., Raleigh from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Jan. 17, and at Open Eye Cafe, 101 S. Greensboro St., Carrboro, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., Feb. 7.

Today, Palmer, sings "Grown Up Christmas List," which she originally recorded five years ago. She made a video a couple of years ago, too.
