Silver Alert issued for Wake County man

Joe Ronnie Clifton, 54, is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
Clifton is described as a white man, 5-foot-10 and 240 pounds. He has short, gray hair and green eyes.
He was last seen on Auburn Estates Road in Raleigh. He was wearing a burgundy sleeveless shirt, a burgundy hooded jacket, blue jeans and work-style leather boots.
Authorities believe he might be headed to a Walmart in Garner or Clayton.
Clifton is traveling in a black 2009 Chevrolet Colbat with North Carolina tag number ZTP5312.
Anyone with information about Clifton's whereabouts should call the Wake County Sheriff's Department at 919-856-6911.
Developed in 2007, Silver Alert is a system that quickly notifies the public about missing endangered adults who suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairments, such as Alzheimer's disease.
It also allows caregivers and nursing homes to report a person missing. In the past, only a family member could report an adult missing.
