Silver Alert canceled for missing Apex man

A Silver Alert was in effect Saturday evening for a Wake County man believed to have some kind of cognitive impairment.

APEX, N.C.UPDATE: A Silver Alert issued on Saturday for an 89-year-old Robert Clarence Boone has been canceled, according to the North Carolina Center for Missing Persons.

A Silver Alert was in effect Saturday night for a Wake County man believed to have some kind of cognitive impairment.

Robert Clarence Boone, 89, was last seen around 4 p.m. on Saturday at 2913 Evans Road in Apex.

Authorities said Boone is possibly wearing a green ball cap, plaid shirt, jeans or Dickey work pants. Boone is believed to be operating a sliver 1991 Dodge Dakota pickup truck with NC license plate WXV-2647.
