The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons canceled a Silver Alert Tuesday for Marie Irene Palacios-Martinez, 37, who went missing in Sampson County on Monday.

Authorities did not release any other details.

Developed in 2007, Silver Alert is a system to quickly notify the public about missing endangered adults who suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairments, such as Alzheimer's disease.

It also allows caregivers and nursing homes to report a person missing. In the past, only a family member could report an adult missing.

I never pay attention to these...they issue what, 5 or 6 a week, and the people are almost always found safely

What disability or condition makes her eligible for the Silver Alert? She's an attractive woman and I hope someone reports where she's been seen.
