RALEIGH, N.C. — A Silver Alert was issued late Tuesday morning for a Raleigh woman police believed to suffer from a cognitive impairment.

Police said Jennifer Ann Wolfe, 29, was last seen driving her sister's blue 1994 Toyota Corolla from 4006-102 Twickenham Court. The Corolla has North Carolina tag number RNC-3798.

Wolfe was described as a white woman standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds. She has blue eyes and short, brown hair.

Her destination and direction of travel were unknown.

Anyone with information about Wolfe's whereabouts should call the Raleigh Police Department’s Detective Division at 919-996-3555.

Developed in 2007, Silver Alert is a system to quickly notify the public about missing endangered adults who suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairments, such as Alzheimer's disease.

It also allows caregivers and nursing homes to report a person missing. In the past, only a family member could report an adult missing.
