Silver Alert issued for Raleigh man

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert Tuesday night for a 74-year-old Raleigh man who was last seen at Walmart on New Bern Avenue.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert Tuesday night for a 74-year-old Raleigh man who was last seen at Walmart on New Bern Avenue.

Robert Leroy Blango, who goes by Bob or Sarge, is believed to be cognitively impaired. He is driving a silver 2006 Chrysler 300 with Florida license plate QA5RT. 

Blango has a tattoo of a skull on his upper right arm and is known to be combative with authority figures. 

Blango was last seen carrying a satchel and wearing a light blue shirt and shorts set with white stripes, black socks, black Reebok tennis shoes and sunglasses, authorities said.

Blango is described as black, with a black, 3-inch afro hairstyle and brown eyes. He stands 6 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 220 pounds.

A photo was not immediately available. Anyone with information on Blango's whereabouts is asked to call Raleigh police at 919-831-6311.
