Silver Alert issued for missing Rocky Mount man

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — A Silver Alert was issued Friday for a 22-year-old Rocky Mount man, who authorities say may be headed to Clayton or Raleigh.

Joshua Adonis Whitaker, 22, is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

Whitaker is described as a black man with close-cut, black hair and brown eyes. He is 5-foot-11 and about 215 pounds.

Authorities said Whitaker has a tattoo of a Joker’s face on his chest and a tattoo of a cross on his right arm.

Whitaker was last seen wearing a blue polo shirt with white sleeves and blue jeans. He was driving a gray, 1982 Buick LeSabre with North Carolina tag XXW-7276.

Whitaker was last seen at an Exxon Gas Station in Whitakers. He left traveling south, authorities said.
