Silver Alert issued for missing Raleigh woman

Wake County authorities were searching early Saturday for a 27-year-old woman who went missing from a home in the 2700 block of Newsome Street in Raleigh.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Wake County authorities were searching early Saturday for a 27-year-old woman who went missing from a home in the 2700 block of Newsome Street in Raleigh.
The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Tamesha Lavette Brown about 1 a.m., saying she may be suffering from dementia or some other type of cognitive impairment.

Brown is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs about 160 pounds and has shoulder-length black hair and brown eyes. Authorities said she may be headed toward to Longview Shopping Center on New Bern Avenue. 

Anyone with information on Brown's whereabouts should call the Wake County Sheriff's Office at 919-856-6911.
