Silver Alert canceled for missing Pittsboro man

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons has canceled the Silver Alert issued Sunday evening for a missing Chatham County man believed to be suffering from some kind of cognitive impairment.

PITTSBORO, N.C. — The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons has canceled the Silver Alert issued Sunday evening for a missing Chatham County man believed to be suffering from some kind of cognitive impairment.

The reason for the cancelation is unknown.

Henry Nathaniel Snipes, 67, was last seen at 120 Honeysuckle Drive, Apartment 1040, in Pittsboro wearing a grey short-sleeved T-shirt, tan pants and black boots.

Snipes, listed at 6 feet 3 inches and 200 pounds, is described as a black man with bald hair and brown eyes.

Authorities said Snipes could be possibly traveling toward Chapel Hill in a 2003 white Dodge Caravan with NC license plate CHF-9265.

Anyone with information about Snipes’ whereabouts is asked to call the Pittsboro Police Department at 919-542-2911.
