Silver Alert

— Authorities in Franklin County were searching early Wednesday for a 26-year-old woman who is believed to be suffering from a cognitive impairment.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Jessica Lee Hobbs at about 4 a.m. after she went missing from a home on Cricketwood Lane in Youngsville.

Hobbs is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs about 165 pounds. Authorities said she has shoulder-length black hair and brown eyes.

When she disappeared, Hobbs was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and grey shorts.

Authorities said Hobbs may be traveling in a silver 2007 Nissan Armada, but it wasn't clear where she may be headed.

Anyone with information about Hobbs' whereabouts should call the Franklin County Sheriff's Department at 919-496-2511.
