Silver Alert issued for Greensboro woman

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Silver Alert was issued late Thursday for a missing Greensboro woman.

Barbara B. Lewis, 71, is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment. She was last seen at 2006 Cheltenham Blvd.

Lewis is described as a white woman, 5-foot-9, about 130 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. She has a slim build, authorities said.

Lewis was last seen wearing a blue sweater, blue jeans and a blue coat.

While Lewis’ direction of travel is unknown, authorities said she had made plans for dinner and failed to show up at her 5 p.m. destination in the 2400 block of Seattle Drive in Greensboro.

Lewis is believed to be traveling in a green 1995 Chevy S-10 with North Carolina tag number PYZ 4229.
