Silver Alert issued for Erwin man

— Erwin police were searching Monday night for a missing 44-year-old man who is believed to be cognitively impaired.

Ronnie Mitchell Hair was last seen at 303 West E St. and police said he was believed to be walking north on South 15th Street. The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for Hair shortly after 8 p.m.

He is described as white, with brown hair and blue eyes, 6 feet 2 inches tall and about 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt, dark pants and flip-flop sandals.

Anyone with information on Hair's whereabouts is asked to call police at 910-897-5122.

    How come these families do not look out for their family members who have this cognitive problem. Gee, it could be them one day and they would want someone to look after them. Not caring is something we need to learn. We need to CARE for one another.
