Authorities cancel Silver Alert for Raleigh man

— Wake County authorities halted their search Wednesday for a man who had gone missing from the 700 block of Newsome Street in Raleigh. 

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons canceled its Silver Alert for Demetrich Montez Wynn at about 9 a.m., more than eight hours after it was issued.

No other information about Wynn's disappearance has been released.

    We are given Silver Alerts with little or no explanations. I'm all for the alerts, but am wondering about them being misused to the point I'm going to get numb.

    He's gone missing before.


    It seems that his caretakers need to be more watchful.
